What a great
Colorado fall day for a trap shoot...The scores were high and
so were the number of shoot offs. The AA class Jacob winning out
right by one target, but 2nd & 3rd place saw Greg & Andrew
knoted, after one round Andrew edged out Greg by 1/4 of a point.
A class was tied down to 5th place it took 3 rounds to settle
the tie, with Bryan coming out on top. One of the largest B
classes that we have ever had looked like we would be shooting
off till dawn, but after the dust settled, no shootoff's were
needed, Tyler took 1st place outright by one target. Only 3
targets seperated the 1st - 3rd places. The C Class was tied for
1st - 3rd as well, it only took one round to settle the score,
with Wyatt taking top honors. In the Rookie's Jason edged out
Hunter by one target to take the win with no shootoff's. |

It was a cold day for the 2nd
tour stop in 2012, but the sun came out and made it bearable.
the scores were down a little, with only one shootoff in the AA
class the day was over fairly early. Knotted after the
initial 100 targets were Cody B & Jacob for 2nd & third in the
AA class, after one freezing round Cody B came out on top.
Thanks to all the parents that braved the snow to bring the kids
out, I wish I could say that this will be the coldest or
snowiest shoot of the year...but I think most of us know better. |

The 3rd tour stop was a
blustery one to say the least, the sun was out but so was the
wind. It still wasnt cold enough to have to wear long pants for
Greg, so I guess it was still warm enough to shoot.
It is awlays amazing to me that the harder the targets are the
harder these kids try, we still had some scores in the mid 90's,
a few 25 straights.
The only class that had a shoot off was the A class shooters,
third place was decided by a miss and out from the 27 yard line,
after one shot each was fired, Justin came out on top to take
the 3rd place spot. |

Another real cold day, but the
sun was out and it didn't snow...
As cold as it was, the scores were good and the turnout for the
shoot was as good as well. The AA Class had Nic & Zach tied at
teh end of the 100, after 2 rounds of shoot offs, Zach came out
on top, in the A Class Brett and Jess were tied after the 100,
one round of cold weather shoot offs was all it would take to
settle the tie with Bret on top by a slimm margin. We also had a
CYT Tour first, the top 3 in the C Class were all Girls, Look
out you boys they are gunning for you. |

It was cold and windy, but we
had a great turnout.
The only shoot offs this month were for 3rd place in the AA
division and I think a first ever CYT Tour shoot off for 1st
place in the Rookie division. After just one round each all ties
were settled and everyone gathered in the warmth of the
clubhouse to await the final score tabulations and scholarship

Well why not finish out the
regular season with another one for the shooters vs mother
nature. The targets didnt care that the shooters faced a brutal
north west wind today, most of the shooters had a hard time
standing steady, but 25 shooters stuck it out. The scores were a
little lower than normal with only one shoot off, Tyler and
Cameron tied for 1st place in the B division, after 1 round
Tyler came out on top. |

The 2012 Tornament
of Champions marks the end to another successful CYT Tour, in
staying with the tradition of this year the weather was a little
blustery to say the least.
The AA class was a tight race with only 5 targets seperating the
6 shooters. In the A class the only shoot off was for 3rd & 4th
place, after one round Jacob came out on top. The B class had
what looked like a 3 way shoot off for the top 3 spots, but
after checking the scores it was only 1st and 2nd that needed to
shoot off, Jared came out on top after the 1st round. In class C
Bo had to show the girls that he wasent going to take losing to
the m any longer and ran away with 1st place. Our Rookie class
was within one bird after the 1st fifty targets, but in the end
Jason came out on top. Thank you all for a great 2012-2013 tour. |
